In this laboratory we study two great thinkers of the 20th century, Martin Heidegger andHannah Arendt, to prepare ourselves to make fundamental observations on the crises of the modernworld.The seemingly self-evident fact that we are living in the world has not been fully brought intophilosophical consideration. Heidegger's phenomenological ontology reexamined our factual ordinary"being-in-the-world". Arendt then articulated the active human life, dividing it into labor, work andaction. Among these activities, action, as connected with speech, shows the political form of livingtogether. Humans are animals that by nature act and speak. Political philosophy aims at gaining insightinto the meaning of public discussion.As natural beings human beings fabricate their unnatural, artificial world they live in and maintain.The disaster on March 11, 2011, showed us how fragile a home our world is and how important ourintergenerational effort of maintaining it is. When the world is damaged, it can be a chance for us to learnlessons for the love of it.Let us enjoy exposing ourselves to the traditions of philosophy and explore the possibilities of basicthinking.Philosophical approaches to living in the world2011 年3 月の東日本大震災は人びとに衝撃を与え、多くの問題を考えさせるきっかけとなりました。本研究室では、20 世紀の傑出した哲学者マルティン・ハイデガーとハンナ・アーレントの思索を手がかりとして、現代世界の危機についての原理的考察を行ない、哲学の可能性を切り拓いていきます。われわれがこの世に住んでいるということは、ごく当然に見えて、哲学的に十分解明されてきたとは言えません。ハイデガーは、世界内存在という根源的事実から出発して、われわれの日常性を現象学的・存在論的に分析しました。これを承けてアーレントは、働くこと（労働）、作ること（仕事）、為すこと（活動）という、活動的生の基本的な区分けを打ち出しました。なかでも、為すことは、語ること（言論）と一緒になって、人間的共生の基本形を形づくります。知識獲得や情報伝達に先立って、人間とは「ロゴスをもつ生き物」にして「ポリス的生き物」です。公的に語り合うことの意味を考えることは、政治哲学の中心課題なのです。また、人間は、自然的存在でありながら、自然とは異なる人工的世界を作り、そこに住み、その住まいを保ってきました。人びとの生活の場である世界が、いかに脆いものであるか、それゆえ、世界を守り、大切にし、次世代に伝えてゆくことが、いかに重要な責務であるかを、われわれは3・11 の経験から思い知らされました。世界が危機に瀕しているときこそ、世界を愛する仕方を学ぶチャンスなのです。現代日本における哲学の可能性は、思いがけない豊かさをたたえています。そのことを、古今の思想的伝統にじっくり身を開きつつ、ともに愉しく学んでゆきましょう。世界に住むことについての哲学的アプローチProf.Ichiro Mori教 授 森 一 郎phenomenological ontology ／ political philosophy ／ action and speech ／ love of the world現象学的存在論／政治哲学／活動と言論／世界への愛Philosophy of Human Information人間情報哲学著書：『死を超えるもの』，『世代問題の再燃』，『現代の危機と哲学』訳書：アーレント『活動的生』とニーチェ『愉しい学問』Prof. Mori’s books on the possibility of philosophy after March 11, 2011 Translations of H.
