研究の企画Research Planning研究企画室では、情報科学研究科における研究を促進し、また外部への広報を行うための業務を行っています。研究科における研究課題の調査及び外部資金の導入に関する助言、市民および産業界に対する広報等を実施します。研究企画室にはURA(University Research Administrator)を置いて、国内および世界における情報科学技術の動向を調査し、また外部資金の導入に関し、情報科学研究科の教員や大学院生等の研究者に対し助言を行います。また、産業界への窓口として情報科学研究科の活動にご興味のある皆さんに研究者の紹介を行います。１．情報科学、特にAIやIoTなどの急速な発展はこれからの社会を大きく変えようとしています。その中で情報科学研究科としてどのような研究を行っていくかについて検討し今後の方向を決めていきます。２．情報科学に関するシンポジウムの開催等により情報科学研究科の活動を広く社会に伝えます。３．我が国の抱える課題を解決していくため、情報科学研究科の研究者が政府や産業界と協力して研究開発活動を行うための助言を行います。The mission of Research Planning Office is to promote research activities of the Graduate Schoolof Information Sciences and to do public relations. Organizing the Research Planning Committeeand the Science Promotion and Public Relations Committee, the office conducts new researchsubjects studies, public relations activities to citizens and Industries.A University Research Administrator is appointed to the Office. He will study the recent trend ofthe information science both global and nationwide and make advices to research staffs of GSISon the introduction of outside research funds. He also is responsible for the industrial relations andwelcomes the interested industry people in introducing GSIS researchers.1. Rapid advancement of the information sciences especially Artificial intelligence and Internetof things（IoT） technology will greatly change our society. The office will decide the futuredirection of research in the GSIS in such circumstances.2. By symposia on GSIS activities, the office will publicly disseminate information.3. GSIS researchers are willing to cooperate with the government and industry in order to solvenational problems through information sciences.
